What does the NFT include?
According to Ethernity’s press release, the idea behind this collection is to “commemorate the life and legacy of the martial arts pioneer, philosopher and global action movie star.”
Ethernity took to social media to break the news, revealing that the collection is based on Lee’s philosophy and life teachings.
“The mind, body and spirit must work together in harmonious interaction. Introducing ‘The Formless Form’, the exclusive @BruceLee x @Ethernity #NFT collection arrives January 8th. (sic) ”, we read in the message.
The long-awaited NFT collection artwork is produced by artists Raf Grassetti, BossLogic and Anthony Francisco.
Lee’s daughter Shannon Lee, President and CEO of the Bruce Lee Family Company, said, “My dad believed in honest self-expression. We are honored to have the opportunity to collaborate with these extremely talented artists whose artistic expressions will help continue to spread the positive message of Bruce Lee’s philosophy and teachings to the world in an authentic way.
This is not the first time that a deceased artist has been commemorated in the form of NFT. In April 2021, the last photoshoot of Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain was converted to NFT.
In July 2021, the art of Grateful Dead guitarist Jerry Garcia was transformed into NFT by the Jerry Garcia Foundation. Likewise, Muhammad Ali Enterprises has partnered with Ethernity to launch the first Muhammad Ali NFT collection.
Ethernity CEO and Founder Nick Ross said they were extremely excited about the Lee Project, adding: Great ambitions and efforts.
